Conway Regional Health and Fitness Center and the Soaring Wings Half Marathon will again offer a free supported training program for runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re a first-time runner, or an experienced racer, we’ll have a group for you. Click on the links below to see the training programs for each group.

Beginner Walker – You’ve never walked this far before, but you’re wanting to train and build up to complete the distance.
Advanced Walker – You’re an experienced walker, looking to do another race or challenge yourself a little more.
Beginning Runner – This is your first half marathon, and you’re wanting to ease into the distance and finish in one piece.
Intermediate Runner – You’ve raced before, and want to improve your result.
Advanced Runner – You’re ready to train hard, run fast, and race your best.

Group training runs will be held on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 PM and Saturday mornings at 8:00 AM, and we’ll meet in the south parking lot at Conway Regional Health and Fitness Center. These runs will be fully supported with water and Gatorade available both during and after the run.

As with previous years, Conway Regional Health and Fitness Center will be hosting educational sessions most Tuesday nights before the start of the group run. These will be hosted in the classroom of the fitness center, next to the South parking lot (the one closest to the fire station. We’ll start promptly at 6:00 PM, and head out for the run after the brief session. Click here for a list of the educational sessions.
