Welcome to the Soaring Wings Half Marathon Extra Mile program!
The Extra Mile program isn’t a way for our race participants to run more… it’s how they support the kids at Soaring Wings Ranch by raising funds through their participation in the race. So not only are the Extra Milers going to run a half marathon, they’re also going the Extra Mile to make a difference!
Participation in the Extra Mile program is easy. We’ve partnered with FirstGiving to provide a platform for raising money for the kids at Soaring Wings. Click here to go to the Ranch’s page at FirstGiving. To sign up, click on the “Get Started” button and create an account… it’s fast and easy. From there, you can customize it with your pictures, information about you and your participation in the race, and your fundraising goals. For an example, check out Race Director Dustin Speer’s page.
Additionally, you can earn great rewards for your fundraising. Here’s the potential:
- $100 – Limited-edition Extra Mile Program shirt
- $250 – Extra Mile Tent access on race day
- $500 – iTunes gift card
- $1,000 – iPod Nano
- $2,500 – Your choice of Garmin Forerunner 405 or iPod Touch
